Bearley Beacon – November 2022

Bearley Beacon – November 2022

We are delighted to say that The Bearley Beacon, the community magazine for Bearley, has had a refresh and a relaunch. Thanks must go to local resident Karen Barguss, who, with design support from her son Lee, has stepped up and taken on the reigns as our Editor.

The NEW November 2022 Edition of the Bearley Beacon can be viewed and downloaded here https://bearley.org/bearley-beacon/

With a fresh look the aim is to produce the Beacon four times a year, our next edition will be February 2023. The Beacon will be available as an online document, available to view online or download.

Karen Barguss, Editor writes:-

” The Bearley Beacon has been in existence for many years and with a recent gap of nearly 2 years due to the unforgettable Covid and a change in editors, we thought that we would get the Beacon up and running again. I haven’t lived in the village for very long but knew that when we moved here that I wanted to be part of village life and help out where I can in and around the community, something that I have done for many years in another capacity.

The Bearley Beacon is a magazine to bring the community together, for giving and sharing information. If you would like to contribute to the Beacon in any way, if you would like to share an interest, a walk, or a recipe, please contact us. We are bringing the Beacon online, but we are going to also try to get it out to as many people as we can, with a paper copy and email copies available on request. If you would like the Bearley Beacon magazine in a preferred way, please let us know.”

The Beacon is reliant on the community it serves. We welcome contributions from local residents and community groups and organisations to provide information and articles. If you have something to contribute, please get in touch. Regular reports are provided by established clubs and community groups in addition to Bearley Parish Council, Stratford District Councillor, Ian Shenton and Warwickshire County Councillor, Penny-Anne O’Donnell.  There is useful information about the library, bus services, refuse collections, and emergency phone numbers including the local Police.

For contributions or to be added to the distribution list, please contact Karen Barguss via bearleybeacon@aol.com or the Parish Clerk, Karen Mason via bearleypc@outlook.com
Or, pop and see us at the Bearley Village Community Morning on Saturday 19 November 9.30-11.30am at Bearley Village Hall.
