Residents are encouraged to join the Bearley Litter Pick on Saturday 20th April 2024 at 2pm, start point Bearley Park (off Grange Road).
Inspired by the recent ‘Great British Spring Clean’ campaign led by Keep Britain Tidy, local volunteer David Hotten is encouraging people to take to the streets and green spaces of Bearley for a community clean up. With equipment and support offered by local charity ‘Rubbish Friends Stratford Upon Avon’, David would like to hear from local residents, friends and families who can join the community litter pick on Saturday 20th April.
Families are welcome to take part but children must be accompanied by a responsible adult (parent/guardian).
Equipment will be provided and distributed at a safety briefing before the start time of the litter pick. Just bring yourselves, some decent gloves and lots of energy!
A central coordinated waste collection has been arranged by Biffa (Stratford District Council), to take away the rubbish collected on the day.
Since the start of March thousands of volunteer #LitterHeroes across the nation have been grabbing their litter-pickers and forming a nationwide army, springing into action to clean up communities.
Litter-picking is a simple action that anyone can do. It makes an immediate and visible difference to the environment where we live, work and play.
