Neighbourhood Planning Steering Group
Bearley Parish Council established NPSG on 18 May 2015 to continue the work of the Neighbourhood Plan Committee with additional input from the whole community. The purpose of the NPSG is to provide assistance and advice to the Parish Council in the preparation of the neighbourhood plan and engaging local residents in the process. Throughout the preparation of the Bearley Neighbourhood Development Plan the Group met on many occasions. The work Carried out by the Group included the drafting of the Plan with help from Avon Planning consultants, preparation of “What are we doing in Bearley” brochure and its delivery it to all households.
The group also arranged the drone and ground level photos as well as printing and delivery of the Pre-submission and Submission version of the Plan to all households, businesses, landowners and statutory bodies for the two statutory Public Consultations.
The Plan is as of January 2020 at the Examination stage. Once the comments of the examiner are received and satisfactorily addressed help from the Group to conduct the Public Referendum which puts the Bearley Plan at equal legal footing as the Stratford-on-Avon District Local Plan will be required. The Group will be required to continue after the Plan comes to force to ensure community needs are fully represented in the Plan review due in 2025 and 2030.
