The Councillors and Clerk of Bearley Parish Council are deeply saddened at the news of the death of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II. Our thoughts are with the Royal Family at this time.
There is a book of condolence at St Marys Church, Bearley. The church opens every day from 9am-6pm.Parishioners may wish to light a candle. A memorial service is being held in neighbouring Snitterfield on Saturday 10 September 3.00pm, at St James Church

In Stratford-upon-Avon, floral tributes may be placed at the Swan Fountain in Bancroft Gardens. Please remove all packaging and flowers must be unwrapped. They will remain here until the day after the funeral, and there is a book of condolence at the offices of Stratford-on-Avon District Council, Elizabeth House, Church Street available weekdays 9am-2pm.
The National Moment of Reflection will take place at 8pm on Sunday 18 September, the night before the State Funeral, and be marked by a one-minute silence. The silence can be marked privately at home, with friends and family, out on doorsteps or the street with neighbours.
The RST (Royal Shakespeare Theatre) in Stratford upon Avon will be broadcasting the state funeral live on Monday 19 September. Members of the public can book tickets from 10am on Thursday 15 September via rsc.org.uk or in person from the RSC’s Box Office. Alternatively, they can book by phone from 12noon by calling 01789 331111. Tickets are free and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
In respect for the period of National Mourning, there will be no meeting of Bearley Parish Council on Monday 19 September, a new date has been rescheduled for Monday 17 October 2022, 7pm.
