NOTICE is hereby given, in accordance with Section 87(2) of the Local Government Act 1972 that a vacancy exists in the office of parish councillor for the parish of Bearley, by reason of the resignation of Councillor Arslan Erinmez.
If by 18 December, 2023 (14 days excluding Dies Non, after the date of this notice) a request for an election to fill said vacancy is made in writing to the Returning Officer at the address below by TEN electors for the said Parish, an election will be held to fill the said vacancy, otherwise the vacancy will be filled by co-option.
If an election is called, it will take place not later than 22 February, 2024.

If such a request is received by the Chief Executive, an election will be held. If no request is received, the vacancy will be filled in due course by co-option by the remaining members of the parish council.
